Thank You
for allowing me to represent you, the constituents of the 5th District, over the past four years. We have witnessed enormous positive changes throughout our community. However, our work is not done yet. Public safety, housing, and economic development have been significant concerns in the 5th District. In collaboration with the City of Wilmington administration, non-profit organizations, and community partners, we have made remarkable progress.
Together, we have:
moving the 5th forward
Wilmington 5th District Councilwoman Bregetta Fields stops by Good Morning Wilmington to talk about the new things happening in her district and the Wilmington Learning Collaborative's Family Engagement Fair
Bregetta is an engaged mother, neighbor, co-worker, friend, and Democrat with a lifelong record of community service activism. We continue to honor Mrs. Mercedes Fields for their deep commitments to the community and I look forward to the fire and drive Bregetta is going to bring to council.
— U.S. Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester
Bregetta brings to Council a deep knowledge of the community and a lifelong record of service to the district she was born and raised in. From improving affordable housing and holding landlords accountable to engaging awareness on issues of public safety that affect all residents in this diverse district, Bregetta is committed to making local government work for local people.
— Senator Chris Coons
Councilwoman Bregetta Fields talks about the next Homebuyers Program.
Councilwoman Bregetta Fields hosted the Second Annual Packed and Prepared for Success College Supplies Giveaway for Wilmington's college bound residents.
Character matters. Bregetta Fields learned from WCC community activists Mrs. Mercedes Fields (her mother) and Mrs. Frauline Trotter her aunt) the importance of service to one's community and you can see her live those lessons every day in the 5th District. I'm so proud to see her commitment to a high level of integrity in the conduct of her campaign, and in her work for the community. She's been in the community all of her life putting in the hard work, creating relationships, raising her own family, and will be laser-focused on making sure that the 5th District is finally at the table in City Council.
- Senator Margaret Rose Henry
